The Network

Sympel owns its network allowing it to completely bypass the phone company to provide uniquely scalable high-speed access. The Sympel network covers major metro areas in California and will soon be one of the largest of its kind.

How it Works

Sympel-certified installation technicians install a wireless router on or near the customer roof. The wireless router, or Subscriber Unit (SU), must have line of sight back to a local Sympel base station. The installation crew will cable from the SU to the customer suite. A standard Ethernet hand-off is provided to connect directly to the customer LAN or firewall. Sympel monitors, manages and maintains the wireless router.
